The most significant indicator of economic activity in our region are the foreign shipments of containerised goods. In the current situation, in which falling internal demand is reflected in a drop in imports (-13.42%), the capacity of our port to channel the goods of our manufacturing community to foreign markets was confirmed by an increase in its exports (+16.87%). Import and export traffic, which rose as a whole by 6.26%, together with international transit traffic (-1.03%), make up the critical mass required to maintain the interest of transoceanic shipping lines.
In terms of cruise traffic, figures recorded an increase of 26.89% compared to the previous year. During this period, a total of 480,233 cruise passengers called
at the Port of Valencia.
